Voronoi Print
An interactive Voronoi fracture tool by Cai. Type a word and crack it into cells from the edges inward, or pick a country and watch its census density shatter the map, city by city, decade by decade. Colour by density, then export a clean SVG.
Take a shape, scatter points inside it, and let every point claim whatever ground is nearest. That is a Voronoi diagram. It is also how dried mud cracks and how a dropped plate breaks, which is why the results look like an accident.
Type cracks a letter or a word, seeded from the edges inward, so the fat strokes get the fine shatter and the thin ones stay in big pieces. Map cracks a country by its census. Cities get the fine mesh, the countryside gets the slabs, and the year slider walks the decades so you can watch a place fill in.
Click the artwork for a new crack pattern. Colour follows density, so the gradient reads as a heat map of where the points landed. Export gives you a clean SVG you can open in Illustrator.
